IWBI is leading the global movement to transform our buildings and communities in ways that help people thrive; while delivering the cutting-edge WELL Building Standard™, the leading global rating system and the first to be focused exclusively on the ways that buildings, and everything in them, can improve our comfort, drive better choices, and generally enhance, not compromise, our health and wellness. ASAP is a Consultant to IWBI, a member of multiple WELL Advisories and Task Forces, and a general thought partner to IWBI.

U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is the foremost coalition of leaders working to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated and is committed to a sustainable, prosperous future through LEED, the leading program for green buildings and communities worldwide. ASAP’s team were early adopters and industry pioneers in LEED and thought partners with the USGBC.

USGBC Membership

U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) membership is essential in developing and evolving LEED—the world’s most widely applied standard for sustainable building. ASAP is a Silver Level Member, passing through our Member discounts on USGBC products to our Clients.

Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI)

GBCI is an independent certifying and credentialing agency, that has managed the certification of more than 3 billion square feet of real estate and the credentialing of nearly 190,000 green building professionals (a number that is almost equivalent to the number of architects in the U.S.) GBCI has grown to administer 8-9 additional complementary rating systems to LEED that cover nearly every facet of the sustainability industry. ASAP’s team have been members of numerous GBCI LEED and WELL Exam Committees chosen to review current exams and write new exams for updated versions of the Standards.

LEED Fellow

LEED Fellow is the most prestigious designation awarded by Green Business Certification, Inc. globally. LEED Fellows are LEED APs who have acquired significant technical knowledge and skills—and they have a history of exemplary leadership, impactful commitment, service, and advocacy in green building and sustainability. LEED Fellows are nominated by their peers, undergo an extensive portfolio review, must have at least 10 years of experience in the green building industry and hold a LEED AP with specialty credential, among other requirements. ASAP has 3 LEED Fellows on our team. Our Founder & CEO is active in the Fellow program and sits on the Fellow Selection Committee annually.

Greenbuild International Conference & Expo

Greenbuild Conference & Expo is the industry’s leading green building event presented in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Greenbuild brings together the industry’s latest education, market research and best practices in an immersive and unmatched experience. From inspirational, future-focused keynotes, high-profile voices and interactive sessions, conference participants can earn GBCI and AIA CE credits while connecting with and learning from global thought leaders. Numerous members of the ASAP team have been speaking at Greenbuild for over a decade, including headlining Special Sets and sold out Lunch & Learns on the Expo Hall floor. Our team members have been selected as members of the Greenbuild Steering Committee and Summit Advisories year after year.

Women in Sustainability Leadership Awards (WSLA)

The Women in Sustainability Leadership Awards (WSLA) was created by gb&d magazine and was their top annual accolade, recognizing the most powerful women making a difference in the world through sustainability. WSLA is considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in the world of architecture and the built environment. ASAP Founder & CEO, Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic was a 2018 WSLA recipient and has been an active member of the WSLA Alumnae Group since winning the award. When WSLA Alumnae Group became its own non-profit in 2020, Jennifer was invited to be on the founding Board of Directors.

USGBC - Los Angeles Chapter

The USGBC-Los Angeles Chapter is about people – passionate, practical, and informed professionals and advocates who work together to transform Southern California into a more sustainable region for all. ASAP Founder & CEO, Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic has been a Member of the Chapter for over 10 years. Jennifer was a Board Member for 6.5 years as both Secretary and Vice Chair, has been an active member of countless committees and volunteer events through the years and acts as an Advisor and Partner to the Chapter.

AIA COTE

The Committee on the Environment (COTE®) is an AIA Knowledge Community working for architects, allied professionals, and the public to achieve climate action and climate justice through design. COTE believes that design excellence is the foundation of a healthy, sustainable, and equitable future and promotes design strategies that empower all AIA members to realize the best social and environmental outcomes with the clients and the communities they serve. Since 2018, ASAP President, John Harrison, has served on the COTE Advocacy Task Force, working closely with AIA staff and task force members to influence federal environmental policy.

Verdani Institute for the Built Environment (VIBE)

Verdani Institute for the Built Environment’s (VIBE) mission is to position the global building sector as a positive force for sustainable development through green building and resilience practices, education, and collaboration. In 2020, VIBE’s Founder, Daniele Horton, approached ASAP’s Founder & CEO, Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic to not just join the founding Board of Directors for VIBE, but to become its Board Chair. In the spirit of collaboration and education, Jennifer said yes to her friend and Shero, Daniele.

Urban Land Institute (ULI)

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is the oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use experts in the world. ULI provides leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. ULI Los Angeles, a district council of ULI, carries forth that mission as the preeminent regional real estate organization providing inclusive and trusted leadership influencing public policy and practice. As a nonpartisan organization, the Institute has long been recognized as one of America’s most respected and widely quoted sources of objective information on urban planning, growth, and development. As a member of the ULI-LA “Building Healthy Places” Steering Committee, ASAP Founder & CEO, Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic, has helped plan events, speak at conferences, create surveys for Los Angeles Building Owners, and participated in a Technical Assistance Panel (TAP).

Women in Green Forum

The Women In Green Forum has emerged as the premier conference series highlighting women’s impact on the environmental industry. From the White House to Fortune 500 company leaders, the annual program features the environmental industry’s brightest and most innovative speakers. Women In Green Forum creates a venue for sustainability professionals to develop the skills necessary for professional success, to promote women’s leadership across the environmental industry, and to channel our efforts to build a better world where both genders have equal access to and are involved in leadership and decision-making. Founder & CEO, Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic was a Panelist at the 2015 sixth annual event, speaking about Designing for Well-Being. Jennifer is an inaugural and lifetime member of Women In Green Forum, attending annually and Mentoring a Mentee at the annual event. One of ASAP’s leading Project Managers was one of Jennifer’s Mentees from the 2019 event.

Chromatic Content

Chromatic Content helps companies convert existing operating procedures and legacy training materials into engaging eLearning content. By creating custom training programs, we empower companies like yours to maximize employee productivity and effectiveness. While ASAP Founder & CEO, Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic was looking for education solutions for our WELL Clients, she discovered Chromatic Content and their ability to create engaging, high-quality and affordable education content. She partnered with Chromatic Content to create the WELL Learning Library to solve our Clients’ needs and the needs of the market.

The WELL Learning Library

The WELL Learning Library (WLL) is an online platform that provides the tools and content for organizations to educate employees and building occupants about health and wellness, including how the buildings we occupy impact our health and well-being. This allows employees and building occupants to develop awareness of the benefits and potential impacts caused by the environments and buildings we occupy to better inform their choices. ASAP Founder & CEO, Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic, was looking for a one-stop, cost- effective and engaging education and survey solution for our WELL Portfolio clients and unexpectedly became a Co-Founder and Principal WELL Expert for the WLL. Jennifer’s passion for education partnered with a solution she could believe in and trust for our Clients was enough for her to agree to help build a robust product with global partners and clients.

Smart Soda

Smart Soda is the world’s first company to offer vitamin-infused flavored sparkling alkaline waters and sodas made with only organic cane sugar. Smart Sodas drinks are natural, vegan, kosher, antioxidant-rich, gluten-free and can be CBD infused. Smart Soda approached ASAP’s Founder & CEO, Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic, to consult around their participation in WELL Building certification and WELL Portfolio. Jennifer was so inspired by Smart Soda’s commitment to sustainability and health & wellness that she joined their Advisory Board in 2020.

Northwest Natural Resource Group (NNRG)

Northwest Natural Resource Group (NNRG) strengthens the ecological and economic vitality of Northwest forests and communities by connecting people with the knowledge, skills and markets they need to steward their land. NNRG focuses on forests owned and managed by private landowners, smaller forest product companies, governmental agencies, Indian tribes and non-profit organizations; enabling them to utilize approaches that mimic natural processes whenever possible. ASAP President, John Harrison has served on the NNRG board of directors since 2016 and is currently board vice president.

1% for the Planet

1% for the Planet brings dollars and doers together to accelerate smart environmental giving. 1% pairs businesses and individuals with their approved environmental nonprofits, creating high-impact partnerships that amplify the impact of members’ giving. ASAP became an official 1% Member in 2020, surpassing our first-year 1% donation and volunteer goals by more than 7x.

buildOn

buildOn breaks the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and low expectations through service and education. buildOn mobilizes U.S. students to transform their communities through service learning and change the world by building schools in developing countries. buildOn is a member of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fulfills SDG 4: Quality Education, which aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. ASAP’s Founder & CEO, Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic began volunteering with buildOn in 2016 with team Build it Forward. Build it Forward traveled to Nepal and Malawi to build schools and new out houses for the schools. ASAP will be sponsoring a trek in 2022 to build a school with the ASAP team and our family, friends and partners.
