Scott Haag, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP joined the ASAP team in 2020. Scott has nearly 15 years of experience in the design, analysis, and sustainability of the built environment, which includes mechanical design, energy modeling, sustainability consulting, energy auditing, commissioning, and staff management. Prior to starting his own consulting business, STB Consulting, Scott was the Director of Engineering Services at Ecoworks Studio, LLC. Preceding Ecoworks, Scott gained significant experience as the Manager of Quality at the U.S. Green Building Council/Green Business Certification Institute (USGBC/GBCI), the organization responsible for certification and credentialing of multiple programs, including LEED, WELL, EDGE, PEER, SITES, and GRESB. Before that, Scott was a design engineer and project manager at an MEP firm in Austin, Texas.

Scott was integral in the development of the LEED v4 Rating System and managed the creation of the LEED v4 Minimum Energy Performance Calculator, as well as writing and editing the LEED v4 Reference Guides. Scott has a Master’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, both in Mechanical Engineering, and is a licensed Professional Engineer. In his spare time, Scott is an avid golfer, enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling.
